Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 7, 2026 (Previously revised: July 22, 2026)
1

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using XURL (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are explicitly prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

2

User Accounts and Responsibilities

To access certain advanced features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. XURL cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

3

Enterprise Use & E-Policies

Corporate and enterprise users are bound by strict 'E-Policies' governing data scraping, API usage limits, and fair usage parameters. Automated creation of links outside the officially provided and authenticated API interfaces is strictly prohibited. Engaging in any form of distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), or attempting to bypass our rate limits using proxy networks or malicious botnets, will result in immediate termination of service and potential legal action.

4

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) distribute malware, phishing campaigns, or illegal content; (b) violate the intellectual property rights of others; (c) impersonate any person or entity; (d) harvest or collect email addresses or other contact information of other users from the Service by electronic or other means. We employ advanced algorithmic scanning to detect such violations and will immediately terminate links and accounts found in breach of these conditions.

5

Termination and Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, and without notice or liability, including but not limited to if you breach any representation, warranty, or covenant contained in these Terms of Service. Upon termination of your access, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

6

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall XURL, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory.

7

Emergency Service Hold & Maintenance Protocol

XURL administrators reserve the unilateral right to engage a Global Emergency Hold ('Kill Switch') during active security threats, system migrations, or database integrity checks. During an Emergency Hold, public link creation, billing checkouts, and profile edits are temporarily paused. Existing shortened link redirects remain operational. Users may submit direct emergency appeals through our maintenance interface.

8

Strict Policy-Driven Infrastructure & Governance

XURL operates strictly on automated policy enforcement. All user actions, guest quotas, rate limits, tier upgrades, and emergency maintenance holds are strictly governed by our published binding legal and technical policies. No manual overrides, informal exceptions, or undocumented API privileges are granted under any circumstances.

9

Proprietary Architecture & Trade Secret Protection

To safeguard system security and protect platform innovations from malicious reverse-engineering, XURL retains full intellectual property rights over its internal Edge routing architecture, proprietary abuse scoring algorithms, and database indexing schemas. Public documentation details external interface contracts only; full internal system mechanics remain proprietary trade secrets.
